Adventure Travel
Active itineraries with the comfort, logistics, and expertise to make every effort feel earned.
The trip you remember is the one you earned
Adventure travel sits at the intersection of effort and reward. We plan trips that move at the right pace, lean on the right outfitters, and finish each day with a place worth coming back to.
From safari in Tanzania to glacier weeks in Alaska, from multi-day treks to small-ship expeditions, we coordinate every detail so that the only thing left for you to manage is the experience itself.

What Adventure Travel Looks Like in Our Hands
Adventure travel does not mean roughing it. The travelers we work with want a sense of place and a sense of accomplishment, but they also want a hot shower, a thoughtful meal, and a guide who knows the terrain. We design itineraries that balance effort with comfort, so the days you push hard are followed by evenings that feel earned rather than punishing.
An adventure trip might be a weeklong safari in Tanzania, a multi-day Inca Trail trek paired with a stay in a Sacred Valley lodge, a glacier-hiking week in Alaska, or a desert and Nile cruise combination in Egypt. Each is built around a clear sense of what you want to see, do, and feel.

Pacing Matters More Than the Activity Itself
Most disappointing adventure trips are not disappointing because of the activity. They are disappointing because the days are stacked too tightly, the transitions are exhausting, or the lodging does not let you recover. We pay close attention to the rhythm of an itinerary so that the activities feel like the highlight rather than the obligation.
We build in rest days, scenic transfers, and the occasional indulgent stay to anchor the trip. The result is an adventure that feels expansive rather than rushed.

Gear, Permits, and Pre-Departure Prep
Every adventure destination has its own quirks. Tanzania safari camps have luggage weight limits for the bush flights. Inca Trail permits sell out months in advance. Climbing Kilimanjaro requires a specific layering system and a slow ascent profile to manage altitude. Galapagos cruises have strict naturalist-led group sizes.
We share a custom packing brief, gear recommendations from outfitters we trust, and a pre-departure checklist that includes vaccinations, permits, insurance, and physical preparation when relevant.

Insurance and Medical Evacuation
Adventure travel deserves more robust insurance coverage than a typical beach trip. We coordinate Arch Insurance policies that include adventure-activity coverage, and for remote destinations we recommend a medical evacuation membership as an additional layer of protection.
These conversations happen early in the planning process so coverage is in place well before the trip begins.

Adventure travel questions
We use the term broadly. Safari, trekking, diving, climbing, multi-day cycling, and remote expedition cruising all qualify. The common thread is that the destination and the activity are equally part of the trip, and the logistics tend to be more involved than a typical resort stay.
Yes. Many of our clients are taking their first true adventure trip. We pair the activity level to your fitness, experience, and comfort with logistics. Lodge-based safaris and guided river trips are especially good entry points.
Twelve months is ideal for permit-driven trips like Inca Trail, Kilimanjaro, and Galapagos. Eight to ten months is workable for most safari and active itineraries. We can work with shorter timelines but availability narrows quickly at the best lodges and outfitters.
It depends entirely on the itinerary. We design trips at every effort level, from comfortable safari days to full multi-day treks. The first conversation always covers fitness honestly so the daily pace fits.
Yes. We coordinate Arch Insurance policies that include adventure-activity coverage and recommend medical evacuation memberships for remote destinations. This is built into the planning process from the start.
