    Departing From JFK

Between JFK and Newark, nearly every major international destination is a nonstop. The real decision in New York is rarely the route and more often the airport, because the difference between a Newark and a JFK departure can be an hour of ground time and a very different evening. We plan the departure around where you actually live and what time you will realistically leave, and we treat LaGuardia as a domestic positioning option rather than a long haul one.

Why New York travelers work with us

We choose between JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia based on where you live and when you will actually leave the office.

We plan short high quality trips, not only two week itineraries, because that is how New York calendars work.

We handle the entire arrangement remotely, by email and phone, with no requirement for an in-person meeting.

We plan beyond the familiar destinations for clients who have already been to the obvious ones.

Who we plan for in New York

Our New York clients are typically professionals with demanding calendars and a low tolerance for wasted time. Many take two shorter high quality trips a year rather than one long one. They are experienced travelers who have already done the obvious destinations and are asking for something more considered.

    When New York travels

New York empties in August and again over the winter holidays, which are our two most competitive booking windows and the ones we start earliest. Shoulder season travel in late April, May, September, and early October is where our New York clients get the most value, and Iceland and Northern Europe are unusually easy from here in the long summer evenings.

Questions we hear from New York travelers

    JFK or Newark?

It depends on where you are starting from and what time you leave. For most Manhattan and Brooklyn clients JFK wins, and for New Jersey and the Upper West Side, Newark frequently does. We make the call as part of the plan.

Can a genuinely good international trip fit into five days?

Yes, with a nonstop and a single base. Iceland, Ireland, Portugal, and much of Italy work well in that window from New York. We would not attempt a multi city itinerary in five days.

Do we ever need to meet in person?

No. We work with clients across the country entirely by video, phone, and email, and the itinerary and documents are delivered digitally.
